A collaboration between the Digital NEST and Fruition Brewing to celebrate Digital NEST’s 10th Anniversary. This special edition Pale Ale was served at the non-profit’s Anniversary Benefit.

For the artwork, the Digital NEST wanted a map, and to include their logo (which has affectionately become known as “the bug”), flying to their educational hubs throughout the Central Coast and Central Valley. They wanted the design to show their locations, growth, and the pride they have in home-grown, local talent.

Such a fun project. Thanks to everyone whose hard work and collaboration made this possible. Here is the final artwork as well as two alternate concepts.

I wanted to reflect their mission by showing the patchwork of farmland where Digital NEST’s hubs are located. The farmland squares are also reminiscent of pixels.

Digital NEST’s mission is to provide underserved youth in California with the ability to launch successful careers in tech.
